Clarence Mills' Haida designs are amongst the most powerful Northwest Coast
artwork being createdtoday. He creates in the tradition of his people. His Haida family crests inspire
the design principals incorporated into his carvings in argillite, ivory, red and yellow cedar boxes,
bowls, doors, plaques, limited edition prints, engraved silver and gold jewelry and most recently, monumental
size totem poles for international events. Clarence Mills has, over the last nine years, established
markets in Canada, the United States, and Europe.

Christian Faure, chief architect of the Louvre. It now stands here, in permanent exhibition, at the President's
